Resources — a lot of folks reach out to me for recommendations of engineers, website devs, designers, & more. This new section of The Z List will feature recommendations from folks I’ve worked with.
Need a graphic designer? Alisha is the best — I’ve worked with her for my own branding and more (soon to be revealed). Fill out the form to work with her.
Need a website developer? Tamir is amazing and has been working with me on The Z List’s website. Fill out the form to work with him.
I wanted to briefly reintroduce myself for my new subscribers and to answer the question why trust me?
Hi! I’m Zehra - Head of Founder Community at Republic & Angel Investor. I’ve been hosting events in NYC since 2017 and:
15,000 different people have RSVP’d for my events in the last 1 year (in NYC alone)
My events have a 95% approval rating
I am Singaporean & Pakistani Muslim and grew up in Hong Kong for most of my life in Hong Kong. I value diversity across all boards and that shows in all of my events.
I root all my events in hyper-efficiency (we’re in NYC I and like to move quickly) and place a heavy emphasis on curation
My educational panels have secured folks jobs at top VC funds (like Primary, most recently)
When I moderate panels, I read, watch, and listen to every interview the panelists have done and only ask them new questions. What you’ll learn at my educational events is not Googleable.
I’m a 2x founder (one succeeded (profitability), one failed): I’ve been in your shoes
I love being an operator; I worked at 14 startups while in undergrad
Besties' Events & Projects
a reminder on the below section! i only feature events when I've been to at minimum three of host's/organizer's past events and had a good time. no other events get featured unless they are sponsored (indicated).
